AFRO PROTOCOL · v0.1 TESTNET

Build on sovereign
African infrastructure.

Everything required to connect a wallet, query AFRO Chain and integrate the protocol's public testnet contracts.

Testnet only. AFR and protocol test assets have no monetary value. Mainnet is not live.

01 · GETTING STARTED

Connect in three steps

01

Add the network

Open the AFRO Wallet or add the network parameters below to an EVM-compatible wallet.

02

Get test AFR

Use the public faucet. Native AFR pays gas and has no token contract address.

03

Start testing

Swap test assets on AFROX, inspect activity in Explorer and follow status in the monitor.

02 · NETWORK PARAMETERS

03 · ASSETS

Native gas is not an ERC-20

AFRNATIVE

The native currency of AFRO Chain. It pays transaction fees and therefore has no contract address.

tAFROERC-20

A separate test token used in liquidity pools and interface tests. It can be imported into a wallet.

WAFRWRAPPED

An ERC-20 representation of native AFR for contracts that require a token interface.

04 · DEPLOYED CONTRACTS

Always verify the address and Chain ID before signing. Interfaces should source active assets from Registry V2.

05 · PUBLIC APIS

Read the network

GET/api/network

Chain height, RPC health, peers and latency.

GET/api/readiness

Protocol deployment and operational checks.

GET/api/explorer?q=…

Search transactions, addresses and blocks.

GET/api/pools/[address]

Pool reserves and token metadata.

JSON-RPC example

curl https://afro-chain-production.up.railway.app \
  -H 'content-type: application/json' \
  --data '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","method":"eth_blockNumber","params":[],"id":1}'

06 · GOVERNANCE

Multi-signature by default

Protocol administration is controlled by a five-owner Safe with a threshold of three approvals. Sensitive actions are routed through timelocks, creating an observable delay before execution.

07 · SECURITY

Your keys stay in your wallet

AFRO interfaces are non-custodial. They request wallet signatures but never need a seed phrase or private key. Never paste either into a website, support chat or development tool.

  • Confirm the active network is Chain ID 42424242.
  • Verify the destination contract before signing.
  • Use test-only accounts and assets on this public testnet.
  • Do not treat testnet balances as investments or money.
